Olympics Reimagined

Imagine if the Olympics, known for their branding on sportsmanship, focused more on the cultural diversity aspect of their brand. How would it look and what would it bring?

The goal of this project was to cultivate a new beverage company with its own branding--branding that stays within the realm of incorporating visual arts and merging them with stunning typography and visual hierarchy. Horizon Beverages focuses on nostalgic design trends (that are re-emerging with new-found love on social media) to garner a dedicated and loyal customer-base of younger adults who would enjoy these design trends.

Research was crucial for this project--deep diving into what made older design trends so loved by many, as well as thinking of strategies to modernize them in a way that didn't take away their charm. For the branding and packaging designs, the common tropes of the internet art aesthetics (illustrations, beautiful colour theory) were implemented onto the designs. The aesthetic of the packaging was fun, dynamic, and nostalgic.

The challenge was that many beverage companies tend to be pretty similar in terms of look and feel, and once they establish a brand identity they don't seem to explore beyond said identity. Horizon Beverages changes the game, it stays true to its branding while branching out into different and fun design territories.

The solution for this project was to create a cool beverage brand that tugged at the heart strings of the target audience of Horizon Beverages with dynamic designs and a fun marketing campaign!

I successfully managed to cultivate a unique brand identity that was memorable yet dynamic with their product designs. Additionally, Horizon Beverages now has beautiful physical packaging to accompany their newly released drink flavours.
